Great beginner printer

Overall I would definitely say this is a great printer for beginners. I picked a couple spools of the Longer PLA filament and the printer prints those out very well. The operation is easy with the simple UI and slicer software. The included SD card is not great, but is enough for my uses.

Such a good printer

This is my first 3D printer and I found it easy to use. I was trying to decide between several printers, but ultimately the low cost and large print size combo swayed me to the LK1. I've been printing all kinds of different models and have had little issues with printing PLA. I did have some questions/issues and the Longer tech support was able to sort it out. Highly recommend!

Great bang for buck, but...

First of all, the price is hard to beat. As a first printer, it's a nice option to try out 3D printing without breaking the bank. But, as a first printer I found it could have been more beginner friendly. I had to do some fiddling around and make adjustments to get it printing perfectly. For example, I re-ran the wiring and realized flipping the bed to use the glass surface with some hairspray worked better. Also took some trial & error to fine tune the slicer settings to improve the quality of prints. I would definitely recommend it, but be prepared to figure things out and tinker.

Very good!

A great printer for beginners. Everything works well, the slicer software is excellent, and UI is great. My only knock on it is that the closed source board makes modifications (e.g. stepper drive upgrades) harder to do. The firmware also does not appear to be open source.
